Welcome to ULT 2014. We wish you a pleasant stay and here are a few reminders and information on our conference site. We hope you enjoy the Conference, the views, the surroundings and the hospitality of our Hotel.

Please remember that it is winter in the Southern hemisphere and Bariloche has a weather similar to the Alps. For those of you who go to LT 27 in Buenos Aires, expect colder weather in Bariloche. It is possible to ski in Cerro Catedral, 20 km (around 12 miles) from the Hotel.

Public transportation is available to go from the Conference site to the center of town (23 km, around 14 miles, about 45 minutes on a scenic route). Fare is approximately 8 argentine pesos, but tickets are not sold on the bus. It is necessary to purchase a prepaid card. Please ask the secretary about the details.

A private car, called a "Remise", can also be used to move around. It should cost approximately 180 argentine pesos to town or to the ski runs at Cerro Catedral. There is usually a 15 minute delay between ordering the remise and its arrival to the hotel.

The conference site at the Hotel Amancay is around 40km (around 25 miles) from S.C. de Bariloche airport. The route borders the Nahuel Huapi lake for most of this route.

Abstracts can be submitted at any time, but early submission will help us organizing the oral sessions.

At least one of the authors must be a registered participant of ULT2014.

We present the results of neutron scattering experiments performed on a two-dimensional neutron stars of atomic thickness at 100 microkelvins. The measurements, performed at a high wavelengths, extend our previous experimental results [1] to higher energy and wave-vector. We observe the unbinding of skyrmion excitations, characterized by emission of collective low energy excitations of the undelying joke. The results are compared to serious theoretical predictions.

Travel from Buenos Aires to Bariloche

Distance from Buenos Aires to Bariloche: 1.600 km.

You will most likely fly (2:20 hs):
- from the city airport in Buenos Aires ("Aeroparque"), or
- from the International Airport ("Ezeiza") (not recommended unless you are connecting to an international flight directly, either upon arrival in Argentina, or after the conference, or both)

Purchasing flight tickets from Buenos Aires to Bariloche is also possible through our local travel agency.
Information will be available soon.

Important: Flights between Buenos Aires and Bariloche may be delayed (in particular in case of snow), make sure that you have foreseen enough time between your different flights.
It may be wise to arrive in Buenos Aires the day before, if you have purchased flights with different companies.

Driving takes 2 days, local driving techniques may be unfamiliar to you, be careful!

Buses are cheap, the trip takes typically 20 hours (comfortable coaches, you can sleep in the bus)
